About Us

Above Consulting Inc. is a boutique management consulting company established in December 2014 by CEO and principal consultant Eddie Tang. We are based in San Francisco, California. Currently, we offer consulting services in corporate growth strategy, brand strategy, logistics and supply chain management, organization development, and data analytics. We also design and implement various entrepreneur training and incubator programs.

Entrepreneur Training Programs

We partner with local governments and organizations to provide business training to startups and small businesses to help them start and continue to develop and grow their businesses. In addition to these partnerships, we have also decided to launch our own entrepreneurship training program. We have designed and implemented a few successful entrepreneur training programs and helped many entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses through the program. In this structured training program, entrepreneurs will learn the know-how to start and run a business and the mindset to succeed.

Above Business Incubator Program

Above Consulting has been a partner on many entrepreneurship training programs over the past five years. These training programs significantly increased the success rate of businesses. Our training program will run for nine weeks and will be led by Above Consulting CEO and principal consultant, Eddie Tang.

You will learn about business planning, marketing, business financial management, and all other essentials you will need to know to be a successful business. Our program is run online through Zoom and will accept participants anywhere in California. The cost of the course is $2000.

In this course, the participants will not only have peer-to-peer interaction and collaboration time but also access to business consulting.

Most courses you will find online are pre-recorded lectures, however, our program is an instructor-led live program. We will provide the tools and knowledge you need to be prepared for the rigors of being a successful business owner.

Eddie Tang - CEO

With a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco, Eddie has 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, over 9 years of experience in finance, and 12 years of experience in business consulting.

Prior to starting his own management consulting business, Eddie worked for CIBC, a large Canadian bank, as a business and financial advisor, where he managed a financial portfolio of over $100M.

Prior to that, he worked as an electrical engineer overseeing the construction and maintenance of part of the building an automation system for Xiamen International Airport, a large international airport in China.

His management consulting company, Above Consulting Inc., has helped companies in food, travel and hospitality, retail and high growth technology startups develop growth strategies to increase revenue and improve profitability.

Robert Ferguson - Brand Strategist

Robert brings over a decade of national and international brand-building experience spanning North America, Asia, and Australia / New Zealand, working with multinational clients such as Accor Hotels, Audi, MasterCard, Chevron, Boeing, Charles Schwab, DuPont, Novartis, and VW.

Robert provides his expertise in growth strategy, customer insights, positioning and messaging, brand architecture and portfolio assessment, customer experience design, and digital brand innovation.

Robert holds a BA in History from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and an MBA in   International Marketing & Entrepreneurship from the University of San Francisco.

Gregory Faith - Logistic and Supply Chain Specialist

Greg’s many years’ professional experiences at Amazon and Genentech help him see opportunities within complex systems and operations. He stood out at Amazon in creating and implementing innovative continuous process solutions enabling a regional decrease in cost to fulfill. His greatest joy comes from the challenge of comprehending intricate ideas and how to enhance them. His formal training includes a Master’s of Science in Operations and Technology Management enabling him to incorporate technological solutions in order for more efficiency in operations. His experiences incorporate start-up corporate business operations & technology management, supply chain, logistics & operations management, operational excellence, and strategic planning.

He uses data-driven analysis to root cause challenging situations independently or with my team. His personality strengths guide him to leadership roles where he is comfortable with abstract details, theoreticals, and overcoming adversity. His resourcefulness and entrepreneurial mindset have allowed him to sprint from “zero to one” within the tightest of deadlines; in order to resolve problems and meet your business’s KPIs.

Patrick O’Regan - Entrepreneur Trainer

Patrick has a long and hearty track record of experience in a wide range of fields. As a professor and mentor for 12 years, he taught and continues to teach at the University of San Francisco’s School of Management on a broad range of subjects including entrepreneurship, finance, and business law. Prior to teaching, Patrick founded and managed a highly successful company that focuses on water treatment and reuse systems. While managing Nobska Technologies Inc., he developed extensive knowledge on water treatment and re-use, developed and implemented its intellectual property, marketing, and regulatory strategies. As an attorney, Patrick founded O’Regan & O’Regan, a law practice, and served as the foundation of the company for an impressive 23 years. Patrick holds a BA in Economics from Brown University, a JD in Law from Suffolk University Law School, an MBA with an emphasis in International Finance from Trinity College Dublin, and an LLM in Technology, Innovation, and the Law from The University of Edinburgh.

Niki Johnson - Organizational Development Specialist

Niki Johnson brings more than 20 years of diverse experience working in high-growth industries to the team and, throughout her career, has become an expert in building commercial and organizational capabilities for emerging and mature companies. Niki has been instrumental in multiple product launches and organizational redesign initiatives from the global, sales training, marketing, and sales perspectives. Niki earned two degrees in Organizational Development, MS at the University of San Francisco, and her BA from the University of Michigan.
